01

Name the place, not only the rule

Write the Incoterm, precise named place and version. FCA, FOB, CIF and DDP allocate different costs and risks, but none of them decides when the buyer must pay.

02

Match payment security to buyer risk

Advance payment, documentary credit, collection and open-account terms create different exposure. New relationships should be verified through corporate, banking and trade evidence before credit is extended.

03

Keep documents aligned

The contract, invoice, packing list, transport document, origin evidence, inspection papers and bank instructions must describe the transaction consistently to avoid clearance and payment delays.
